It's the cereal monster!

Eli turned 5 months on the 19th, the weekend before we introduced cereal-he wasn't real sure about it @ first, but now really likes it. Here are some pics of the very first day and then again a couple days later....what a mess huh? Can't imagine what he will look like when we start baby food-should be fun! I have learned that when ceral dries it's like an all natural super glue...

Day with my Mom

Because I have such a nice boss, I got to spend one more day with my Mom (and Grandparents) before she flew back to NM-good news, she will be back for another visit in 2 weeks! If I had known she would visit the baby this much we would of had Eli 3 years ago....

Every Mother's Day our church dedicates all the babies/children-Brother Eddy did a wonderful job and gave all of us some great words of wisdom. We received a certificate and a bible-here are the pics from after church that morning. Grandpa Wendell escaped before I could get his picture with Eli-Ericka and Kris were also there, but I haven't gotten those pics yet....

Mother's Day Weekend: Part I

I know...I know...I am behind on my blogging-I apologize and won't include any excuses. Instead I will try to get caught up.
Mother's Day weekend was filled with lots of visiting! It started out on a bad note for me though. I wasn't feeling well when I left work on that Thursday, just sick to my stomach. By 6 I was getting sick, which didn't stop until 2 the next morning-I felt terrible and swore something was trying to kill me! Still not sure if it was a bug or something I ate. The baby and I took it easy the next morning, though I manage to pull myself together enough to work for a couple of hours. I was concerned about some time-sensitive stuff and decided I needed to make the trip-otherwise I would of stayed home. Anyway it took most of the weekend to feel like myself again.
Thursday night was also the first night JP was home since the Sunday before-the plan was to make him dinner and a cake in celebration of his 31st birthday-as you can see that didn't happen. He got his birthday present really early this year, it was actually Easter weekend, a new boat-nothing fancy, but very functional for all three of us. Pictures of the boat to come. As for his other gift, the whole family chipped it to get him a trolling motor-he was very surprised and will be picking it up this weekend @ Bass Pro. Him and Mike are going down to the Orlando store on Friday-can you say "hog heaven?"
That same week my Pop-pop got a brand new knee! Dr. Jaffe said it was terrible and the worst knee he had ever operated on, we wish he would of done it sooner. He was in the hospital until that Saturday, he was SO ready to get out of there-not a big hospital lover! His therapist said he is doing great. Please keep him and his recovery in your prayers.
My Mom flew in that week and was here through Wednesday, she was able to help out Pop-pop and see Eli-we had such a good time catching up on things.

Eli's first dip in the pool....really the spa this time.

After church (4/28) we all went over to spend some time in and around the pool with Papa Mike and Grandma D. It was nice and sunny but the pool was still a bit cool-for us at least. So they had the spa nice and warmed up for us. Eli had a good time but wasn't feeling real well, which was confirmed the next day when JP took him into see his Ped. He had another ear infection, this being #2. They put him on another round of Amox and eye drops as a precaution-his eyes were running due to the ear infection. He's off the meds and doing better now. Here are the pics from Sunday.
