Cutest Baby Contest

Yes I did it.......I entered my little Eli into the Gainesville Sun's Cutest Baby Contest-I couldn't help myself! If you would like to vote for him you can do so online, it does cost some $ but all proceeds go to Newspaper Education so it's for a good cause! And they are giving away lots of goodies-one grand prize and 12 runner ups.
Wrenda entered Gavin as well-so vote for them both! =)
If you do vote please check back later to make sure it was counted-they were having some techincal difficulties last week.
Thanks for your support!

Day with Aunt Wrenda!

Wrenda helped us out on Wednesday and watched Eli-JP was scheduled for Daddy duty, but had something urgent come up at work.
THANK YOU Wrenda!!!
Here are some pics of the boys hanging out-Eli is 7 weeks old, already!
He has grown SO much already-time really does fly when you are having fun!

Not sure what color his hair will be-
some days it looks brown, then blond, then red...

Gooooooooooooo GATORS

Eli's first Slaymaker get-together...

Holly & Emma, Wrenda & Gavin, Me & Eli-
still hard to believe we are ALL mommy's! =0

Showing the girls I can smile!

Me and the boys.

Gavin & Eli

Since I have been off work Wrenda and I have been able to spend some time together-which has been so nice! We have been to the mall a couple of times and just hung out here @ the house. The last time we went to the mall I was able to get my brows waxed and hair cut, what a big help it was having her with us-I felt like a new woman! Apparently I looked like a new woman when I got home because JP was in shock until the next morning-he should know by now there's no telling what color or length my hair is going to be when he gets home! =) Here are some pics of the baby and Gavin-he's going to be a good big brother, huh?

Daddy and Me

So watcha think, does he look like his Daddy???

We had another busy week-this is week 2 of being back @ work. Until March I am working Monday, Wednesday and Friday, after that I will be working ALL week. =( This is because we didn't win the lottery while I was on maternity leave.
Tuesday I met Lisa (girlfriend from church) at the postpartum luncheon-it's every Tuesday @ the Women's Center. It was my first one, I have tried to make them previously but something always came up. I am going to try and make them until I go back to work.
Thursday I went to my first MOPS (mothers of pre-schoolers) meeting at my church-we had lots of good food, conversation and a valentine's craft. I also got to know some other moms from my church a little better. I won't be able to make most of the meetings because they are in the middle of the week, but I'm going to try and join in with the activities after work and on the weekends-it's a really good group to be a part of.

Happy Baby!

Barely opening my eyes for Nanny.

Sleepy Baby

1st trip to Church

All dressed in his Sunday best we made it to church 2 weeks ago-isn't he handsome??? We went to early service and sat in the cry room-he wasn't fussy, but was grunting a lot so we decided to be safe and had service in the back.

Smilin' and Sleepin'

Elijah has been smiling now for about a week or two-it is the best thing since sliced bread! This isn't the best pic of him in action, we have yet to catch him in the act with the camera in hand. He is such a cutie and everyday is such a blessing filled with excitement for all of us!

One of his favorite things to do.....sleep.

O'Leno State Park

While Grandpa was here we decided to take a visit to O'Leno State Park. Dad went fishing here with my cousin Dave about 15 or 20 years ago-it looks a lot different now.

Strapping Eli in, he slept the whole time and we kept each other warm too! It was cool, but not cold-which was nice because the trail we took was a little longer than I expected. It also brought to my attention how out of shape I am!!!

Grandpa Blackstone!

Grandpa Blackstone paid us a visit, all the way from Ohio! He was here for about a week and we enjoyed every minute of it-it was so nice to catch up on everything, since we didn't make it up for the annual Labor Day get-together, and he spent lots of quality time with his new grandson. This is his 2nd grandson, I have an 18 year-old nephew, Allen.

Nanny and Pop-pop paid us a visit while Grandpa Blackstone was here so they also got to visit.

They are both thinking....put the camera down!
